Bio
Emily Snyder joined the Framingham State University Athletic staff in August 2011 and serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Snyder came to Framingham State after spending five years as an assistant athletic trainer at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. At Hamilton, Snyder provided full athletic training coverage of practices, games and all travel duties for women’s soccer as well as the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Snyder also taught a physical education class that was offered to all Hamilton students and was a member of the New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association Public Relations Committee.
Prior to her time at Hamilton, Snyder was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, GA Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Approved Clinical Instructor at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Snyder earned a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology during her time at the University of Arkansas.
Snyder earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME in 2004 where she graduated summa cum laude. During her time at UNE, Snyder was a member of the Nor’Easters’ softball team and served as president and secretary of the UNE Student Athlete Advisory Committee as well as serving as softball team captain in 2003 and 2004.
Snyder holds certifications and memberships from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the American Red Cross. She currently resides in Milford with her husband Greg.
