MASCAC Set To Add Football As Championship Sport In 2013-14
Buzzards Bay, Mass. -- A new era in gridiron excitement is set to begin shortly for the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, as football will become the league’s newest championship sport beginning with the 2013-14 academic year.

First Annual Youth Football Camp Sponsored by Framingham State
The first annual Youth Football Camp sponsored by the 2010 MASCAC and ECAC Northeast Bowl Champion Framingham State University football program will be held on July 25-28, 2011 from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Framingham State University’s Maple Street Field. The non-contact camp is open to players ages 8-15. Camp participants at all positions will work with college coaches to improve their skills through a variety of drills.

James McCarthy is back on the football field at Framingham State College, catching passes and making plays. It’s been quite a journey for the junior wide receiver from Newton. He was sidelined most of his senior season at Newton North High in 2005 because of an injury, and then took up lacrosse after enrolling at the University of Massachusetts Boston, which doesn’t field a football team.

A New Era Begins As MASCAC Goes Collegiate
