Meghan Daly begins her second season as the Rams head field
hockey coach. In Daly’s first season she guided the Rams to a
school record 15 wins and a share of their first Little East
Conference Regular Season Championship.
Daly, a 2008 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, was a
four year starter for the URI Rams Division I field hockey
program. During her career she was a three time team captain
and the Rams qualified for the A-10 Tournament. She
also served as a mentor to first year students, teaching college
survival skills and organizing community service
activities.
Daly spent the 2008 season as an assistant coach for Clark
University's field hockey team. She worked primarily with the
Cougars defense. Daly assisted with all aspects of the team's
day to day operations including planning practices, instructing
drills and assisting with recruiting student-athletes. She
has also been the head coach of the USA Olympic Futures Program
U-19 head coach where she teaches advanced skills and strategy as
well as educating the athletes on the college recruiting
process.
