42 Rams Named to Fall 2011 MASCAC All-Academic Team
Buzzards Bay, Mass. — A total of 500 student-athletes, including 42 from Framingham State University, have been honored by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference with selection to the league’s Fall 2011 All-Academic Team as announced by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann.

Volleyball Sweeps MASCAC Major Awards and Places Three on All-Conference Teams
Buzzards Bay, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team placed three players on the 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Team and swept the major awards as announced by the conference office this morning and voted on by the league’s seven coaches.

Volleyball Ends Season with 3-0 Loss to Coast Guard in ECAC Quarters
New London, Conn. - Juniors Catherine Walker, Keriann Mason and sophomore Kelsey DePorto each had seven kills as top-seeded Coast Guard used a balanced attack to advance to the ECAC Division III Volleyball Championship semi-finals with a 3-0 win over eighth-seeded Framingham State in a first round match.

Volleyball Selected Eighth Seed in ECAC Tournament
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team has been selected the 8th seed in the 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Division III Tournament which is slated to begin later this week.

Volleyball Eliminated from MASCAC Tournament with 3-2 Loss to Worcester State
Westfield, Mass. – Third seed Worcester State advanced to the championship game of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s volleyball tournament with a hard-earned 3-2 victory (25-16, 19-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-8) over second seed Framingham State University early Saturday afternoon, Nov. 5 in one semi-final of the 2011 MASCAC women’s volleyball championship.

Buzzards Bay, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball has earned the second seed in the 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Championships which will take place on Saturday, November 5th at the Woodward Center in Westfield, Mass.

Volleyball Drops Two with UMass Dartmouth and Western Connecticut
North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team closed the 2011 regular season with a pair of losses against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Western Connecticut State University. The Rams were defeated by the Corsairs and the Colonials by a score of 3-0 and with the pair of losses are now 19-12 on the season.

Volleyball Defeats St. Joseph’s 3-0
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team defeated St. Joseph’s College of Maine 3-0 this evening in non-conference women’s volleyball action at Framingham’s Athletic Center. The Rams won by scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-20.

Salem, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team closed their conference schedule with a 3-1 win tonight on the road over Salem State in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s volleyball action.

Volleyball Defeats Newbury and Falls to WNE
Brookline, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team split two matches today with Western New England and Newbury College. The Rams defeated the Nighthawks 3-1 and lost to the Golden Bears 3-1.

Willimantic, Conn. - In the first meeting between the two programs in 25 years, the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors defeated Framingham State University 3-0 tonight in non-conference volleyball action.

Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore outside hitter Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s volleyball player of the week for the week ending October16th.

Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match with Worcester State and Husson
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team swept a tri-match this afternoon with Worcester State University and Husson University. The Rams defeated Worcester State 3-1 in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) match up in the day’s first game and defeated Husson 3-0 in the final match. Worcester State defeated the Eagles 3-2 in the day’s other match.

Bridgewater, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team rallied from a two games to one deficit to defeat Bridgewater State 3-2 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action on Tuesday night in Bridgewater.

Volleyball Splits with Eastern Nazarene and WPI
Quincy, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team went 1-1 today at a tri-match with WPI and hosted by Eastern Nazarene. The Rams won the day’s first match 3-1 over the hosts and dropped the middle match 3-1 to the Engineers.

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team defeated Suffolk University tonight 3-1 in non-conference action at Framingham’s Athletic Center.

Paxton, Mass. – The Framingham State University women’s volleyball team rolled to a 3-1 win tonight over the Anna Maria College Amcats in non-conference action. The Rams improve to 11-7 on the season, while the Amcats fall to 3-12.

Framingham, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women’s volleyball team swept at tri-match with Framingham State and the University of Maine at Fort Kent this afternoon in Framingham defeating both teams 3-0. The Rams defeated Maine Fort Kent 3-0 in the day’s other match.

Framingham, Mass. – Behind 18 kills from sophomore Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) and 13 from freshman Ashley Nee (Hanson, Mass.) the Framingham State University volleyball team defeated MCLA 3-1 tonight in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s volleyball action.

Volleyball Suffers 3-0 Loss to Westfield State
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team suffered their first conference loss of the season as they were defeated 3-0 in straight sets by Westfield State on Homecoming and Family Weekend in Framingham. The Owls recorded their first Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) victory of the season winning by scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-13.

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win tonight over Elms College in non-conference action this evening at Framingham’s Athletic Center. The Rams won in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-16.

Framingham, Mass. – The Lasell College women’s volleyball team swept a tri-match this afternoon defeating both Framingham State University and Daniel Webster College in five sets by a score of 3-2, while in the days other match the Rams defeated Daniel Webster 3-0.

Newport, R.I. - Freshman Taylor Violet (Tiverton, R.I.) dished-out a match-high 17 assists as the Salve Regina University women's volleyball team swept Framingham State University 3-0 during non-conference action at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Thursday night.

Buzzards Bay, Mass. - Sophomore Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) notched nine kills and six service aces to lead Framingham State to a 3-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Tuesday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Bertrand Selected All-Tournament at UMD Invitational as Volleyball Splits a Pair of Matches
North Dartmouth, Mass. – Freshman Kayla Bertrand (Agawam, Mass.) was selected to the All-Tournament team at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Volleyball Invitational as the Rams went 1-1 on day two.

Volleyball Goes 2-0 on Day One Of UMass Dartmouth Invitational
North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team went 2-0 tonight at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Volleyball Invitational. The Rams defeated Mount Ida 3-1 in their opening match and followed that up with 3-0 win over Salem State in the night cap. The Rams are now 4-2 on the young season.

Volleyball Holds Off Mount Ida for 3-2 Victory
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team held off a comeback by the Mount Ida College Mustangs to pick up a 3-2 non-conference win tonight in their home opener. The Rams even their record at 2-2 on the season, while the Mustangs are now 1-2.

Volleyball Goes 1-2 at Gordon Invitational
Wenham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team opened the 2011 season going 1-2 at the Gordon Invitational today. The Rams lost their first match of the day 3-1 to Newbury College, defeated St. Joseph’s (Conn.) in their second match 3-0 and closed the day with a 3-0 loss to Simmons College.

Volleyball Chosen to Finish Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team has been chosen to finish fifth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s volleyball preseason poll in voting conducted by the conference’s seven coaches. The Rams received 24 total points which was just two points behind MCLA who are in the fourth spot with 26 points.
