Volleyball Splits Matches with Husson and Mt. Holyoke

South Hadley, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team took their opening match of the day 3-1 over Husson University before dropping a heated five setter 3-2 to host Mt. Holyoke this afternoon in non-conference action at Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

FSU 3, Husson 1 

• After falling 25-23 in the opening set, the Rams took three straight by scores of 25-20, 25-9, 25-18 to secure the victory. 

• Natalie Reynolds paced the Rams on the attack with 11 kills on 21 swings with no errors for a .524 hitting percentage. 

• Jaimee Lowe chipped in with nine kills on 23 attempts and added two digs, while Sabrina Stadelman added five kills and a pair of digs. 

• Anneli DiVirgilio led the back row with 10 defensive digs, while Madysen Cedrone added three kills, five aces and nine digs. 

• Stella Bailey finished the match with 24 sets assists and a team-best seven service aces. 

MHC 3, FSU  2 

• Against Mount Holyoke, the Rams received nine kills and five blocks from Reynolds, while Lowe finished the match with six kills and three digs. 

• DiVirgilio led the back row effort with 19 defensive digs and four service aces, while Bailey finished the match with 26 assists, 12 digs and three aces. 

• Hope Verhoeven chipped in with five kills and 14 digs, while Mackenzie Heaney finished the match with 10 digs..
