Dick Casali is entering his 8th season as the Rams head
volleyball coach. In his first seven seasons on the bench,
the Rams have made six appearances in the MASCAC Volleyball
Tournament and advanced to the finals once. In 2006 Coach Casali
guided the Rams to their first appearance in the ECAC New England
Volleyball Championship Tournament. Over his first seven
seasons at the helm, Casali has led the Rams to an
impressive 108 wins and .524 winning percentage. Coach
Casali is IMPACT and CAP II certified for coaching.
In 2010, Casali guided the Rams to their first 20 win season
since 2001 and reached the 100 win coaching milestone on September
4th as the Rams defeated Suffolk University. He is
the first FSU volleyball coach to achieve 100 wins on the bench and
is one of only two active FSU coaches to achieve 100 wins with the
Rams.
Prior to joining the Framingham State coaching staff, he was an
assistant volleyball coach at Dean where he also coached
softball. During Coach Casali's time at Dean they won two
Region 21 titles and in 2006 played for the National Softball
title. Coach Casali, who is also a graduate of Framingham
State, coaches volleyball for the MetroWest Juniors as well as at
Saint John's High School.
