New London, Conn. - Juniors Catherine Walker, Keriann Mason and sophomore Kelsey DePorto each had seven kills as top-seeded Coast Guard used a balanced attack to advance to the ECAC Division III Volleyball Championship semi-finals with a 3-0 win over eighth-seeded Framingham State in a first round match.

Volleyball Drops Two with UMass Dartmouth and Western Connecticut
North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team closed the 2011 regular season with a pair of losses against the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Western Connecticut State University. The Rams were defeated by the Corsairs and the Colonials by a score of 3-0 and with the pair of losses are now 19-12 on the season.

Worcester State defeated the Eagles 3-2 in the day’s other match.

North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team went 2-0 tonight at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Volleyball Invitational. The Rams defeated Mount Ida 3-1 in their opening match and followed that up with 3-0 win over Salem State in the night cap. The Rams are now 4-2 on the young season.

Volleyball Chosen to Finish Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team has been chosen to finish fifth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s volleyball preseason poll in voting conducted by the conference’s seven coaches. The Rams received 24 total points which was just two points behind MCLA who are in the fourth spot with 26 points.
