Field Hockey and Women's Soccer Qualify for MASCAC Tournaments
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University field hockey team and the Framingham State women's soccer team have qualified for this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Hockey and Women's Soccer Tournaments.
Field Hockey has earned the fourth seed after finishing the regular season 8-10 overall and 5-5 in league play. As the fourth seed the Rams will host fifth seed Bridgewater State in an opening round matchup on Tuesday, November 5th at 7 p.m. at Maple Street Field. The winner will advance to the semifinals on Thursday and the tournament will conclude over the weekend with the winner receiving the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Field Hockey Championship.
The women's soccer team has earned the sixth seed after finishing the regular season 4-14-1 overall and 2-4-1 in MASCAC action. As the sixth seed, the Rams will travel to third seed Worcester State for an opening round game on Wednesday, November 6th at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the semifinals on Friday night and the tournament will conclude on Sunday with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
