Women’s Ice Hockey, Men's Basketball and Women’s Basketball Set to Compete in MASCAC Tournaments
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's ice hockey team, men's basketball team and women's basketball team have qualified for this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Tournaments.
Women's ice hockey has earned the fifth seed and will travel to fourth seed Anna Maria for an opening round game on Wednesday, February 25th at 5:40 p.m. The winner advances to face top seed Worcester State on Friday night in one semifinal.
The men's basketball team has earned the fourth seed and will host fifth seed Bridgewater State on Wednesday, February 25th at 6 p.m. in an opening round matchup. The winner will advance to the semifinals where they will face either Westfield State or Worcester State, and the tournament will conclude on Sunday with the winner receiving the MASCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The women's basketball team has earned the second seed and received a first-round bye in the tournament. The Rams will host a semifinal game on Friday, February 27th at 6pm. The tournament will conclude on Sunday at the highest remaining seed with the winner receiving the MASCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
