Costello Named MASCAC Baseball Player and Rookie of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Freshman outfielder Shane Costello (Wilmington, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 9th.     

Costello earns his second Rookie of the Week honor and first Player of the Week Honor after batting .611 (11-for-18) with a double, five runs scored, four RBI, a stolen base, .632 on-base percentage and .667 slugging percentage in a 3-1 week for the Rams. Costello went 5-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI in the Rams 15-0 win over Bridgewater State. He went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the Rams 3-0 win over the Bears and he added four hits and two RBI in the Rams win over Rivier earlier in the week.
