Baseball Swings Past MCLA 23-4

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team ripped 23 hits and plated 23 runs as the Rams defeated MCLA 23-4 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Bowditch Field. 

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Framingham State 23, MCLA 4 

-Records: Framingham State (5-15, 3-3 MASCAC), MCLA (4-14, 1-5 MASCAC) 

- Location: Bowditch Field Framingham, Mass.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams were paced by a 4-for-6 performance at the plate from Christian Cox. Cox was just a double shy of hitting for the cycle as he tripled, homered, scored three runs and drove in four. 

  • Johnny Lynch went 6-for-6 at the plate in the game scoring three runs and driving in four, while Rosco Palmer went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI. 

  • Massimo Mondi went 2-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and three RBI, while Steven Burbank went 2-for-3 with a homer, a run scored and three RBI.  

  • Nicholas Kutcher started on the mound for the Rams but did not factor in the decision. Kutcher went four scoreless innings allowing just four hits.
