Baseball Swings Past Dean 18-7

Franklin, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team slugged 20 hits and scored 18 runs as the Rams defeated Dean College 18-7 in non-conference action at the Longley Athletic Complex. 

THE BASICS:

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Dean took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first before the Rams rallied for six runs taking a 6-4 lead after four.  JC Espinal delivered a three-run home run in the third and Daniel Robichaud, Colin Johnson and Steven Burbank added RBI base hits. 

  • Dean got a run back in the fifth closing the gap to one, but the Rams erupted for seven runs in the sixth opening a large lead. 

  • JC Espinal finished the game 2-for-5 with a homer, two run scored and five RBI, while Roscoe Palmer finished the game 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a homer, and three RBI. 

  • Lucas Basile went 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI, Robichaud finished the game with a pair of doubles, three runs scored and an RBI. 

  • Johnson finished the game with two RBI, while Dane Frellick added a pair of hits.
