Baseball Rallies for 14-12 Victory over Curry

Milton, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team slugged rallied for three runs in the final two innings as the Rams came from behind to defeat Curry College 14-12 this afternoon in non-conference action. 

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Framingham State 14, Curry 12 

- Records: Framingham State (9-23), Curry (8-19) 

- Location: Curry College Milton, Mass.    

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams extended the lead with five runs in the second including a two run base hit from Robichaud. 

  • Curry got on the board in the third on a three run home run, but the Rams plated two more in the top of the first. 

  • A two run single from Steven Burbank put the Rams up 11-4 in the fifth but the Colonels plated eight unanswered runs to lead 12-11 after seven. 

  • The Rams received a sacrifice fly from Lindkvist in the top of the eighth tying the game and Johnny Lynch delivered a two run single in the top of the ninth to secure the victory. 

  • Ben Respress earned the victory on the mound for the Rams by tossing two innings of scoreless relief. 

  • Lindkvist finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBI, while Robichaud went 3-for5 with two runs scored and three RBI
