Baseball Tabbed to Finish Seventh in 2026 MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University baseball team has been tabbed to finish seventh in the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office this afternoon.
The Rams took the seventh spot with 29 points after going 14-28 overall and 8-13 in league play in 2025. Returning for the Rams is outfield Massimo Mondi. Mondi earned first team All-MASCAC honors after an outstanding rookie season. Mondi led the MASCAC with 19 stolen bases while batting .373 with 46 runs scored, five doubles and two triples.
Bridgewater State took the top spot in the poll with 59 points and five first place votes, while Worcester State took second with the remaining four first place votes and 53 points. Westfield State claimed the third spot with 50 points, while Mass. Maritime and Salem State finished fourth and fifth with 38 and 37 points. Anna Maria finished just ahead of the Rams in sixth with 31 points, while Fitchburg State (18) and MCLA (9) round out the poll in eighth and ninth.
The Rams open the 2026 season on Wednesday, February 28th at Emerson.
