Baseball Closes Spring Trip with 11-1 Loss to Augustana

Winter Haven, Fla. - The Framingham State University baseball team closed their spring break trip this afternoon with an 11-1 eight inning loss to Augustana in non-conference action at Chain of Lakes.   

THE BASICS: 

- Scores:  Augustana 11, Framingham State 1 (8 Innings) 

- Records: Framingham State (2-6)Augustana (11-4)

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • After three scoreless innings, Augustana got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI fielder's choice. 

  • The Rams tied the game in the top of the sixth on an RBI single from Johnny Lynch.  

  • Augustana took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning with three runs, and sealed the run rule victory with seven in the bottom of the eighth. 

  • Charlie Ambroult took the loss going 5.1 innings allowing three earned runs on four hits with four strikeouts and four walks. 

  • Lynch finished the game 1-for-4 with an RBI, while Christian Cox and Massimo Mondi each recorded a hit with Cox drawing a pair of walks.
