Baseball Falls to Anna Maria in MASCAC Opener

Marlborough, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team was defeated 10-6 tonight by Anna Maria College in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Marlborough High School.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

• Anna Maria got on the board first with an unearned run in the top of the third and added three unearned runs in the top of the fourth.  

• The Rams got on the board in the bottom of the inning on an RBI groundout from Colin Johnson. 

• Anna Maria plated four runs in the top of the fifth extending the lead to 8-1. 

• The Rams added single runs in the sixth, seven and eighth on RBI basehits from Christian Cox, Scott Paquette and Zachary Kern. The Rams added two more in the ninth on an RBI single from Rosco Palmer. 

• Shaun Marsh took the loss on the mound going four innings, allowing six runs, one earned, on five hits with three strikeouts. 

• Johnny Lynch finished the game 4-for-6 with a run score, while Cox finished the night 4-for-6 with a run scored and an RBI.
