Field Hockey Slotted Fifth in MASCAC Preseason Rankings

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University field hockey team has been picked fifth in the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Preseason Poll as voted upon by the league's head coaches.

The Rams return several key offensive contributors from last season's squad that went 5-5 in MASCAC play. Leading the way is senior forward Natalia Roehr, who paced the team with seven goals and an assist for 15 points, posting a .233 shooting percentage and a .733 shots-on-goal percentage. She is joined up front by sophomore Finley Hogan, who netted four goals as a rookie starter, and the Malmquist sisters — sophomore Mikayla (3 goals, 2 assists) and junior Ashley (2 goals), both of whom return as reliable scoring options.

At the top of the 2025 poll, Fitchburg State and Westfield State share favorite status after claiming the 2024 regular season and tournament titles, respectively. Worcester State was selected third, followed by Bridgewater State in fourth. Behind the Rams in fifth are Salem State in sixth and new conference member Anna Maria in seventh.

The Rams open the 2025 season on Saturday, August 30th, when they travel to UMass Dartmouth for a non-conference tilt at noon.
