Men's Basketball Chosen to Finish Seventh in 2024-25 MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's basketball team has been slated to finish seventh in the 2024-25 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches. 

The Rams landed in the seventh spot with eight total points.  Returning for the Rams this season are the duo of Kyle Philistin and Joshua Saint Jean.  Philistin averaged 12.2 points and four rebounds per game a year ago, while during his rookie season Saint Jean averaged 10.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Also returning for the Rams for their final season are Adonis Vashon who averaged 10.7 ppg and JD Okafor who averaged 10.4 ppg. 

Bridgewater State claimed the top spot in the poll with 33 total points and four of the seven first-place votes, while Westfield State landed in the second spot with 29 points a first-place vote. Worcester State claimed third with 26 points and a first-place vote, while Salem State found themselves in the fourth spot with 23 points and the last first place vote. Rounding out the poll are MCLA in fifth with 19 points and Fitchburg State that claimed sixth with nine points. 

The Rams open the season on November 9th and 10th when they travel to Vermont State-Randolph for a tipoff tournament.
