Bio

Stephen Callahan is entering his second season with the Framingham State University men’s basketball team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in recruiting and player development.

Prior to arriving at FSU Callahan was an assistant coach for the Dean College Bulldogs in Franklin, MA.  During his time at Dean, the Bulldogs were able to reach the NJCAA Region XXI semi-finals, before losing to Orange County Community College (NY).

From 2005-2008 Callahan was an assistant coach with North Cambridge Catholic High School. In his third year, the NCC Panthers clinched the MIAA Division IV North Championship and won the MIAA Division IV State Championship.

Along with coaching at the high school and collegiate level, Callahan has assisted a number of AAU programs including the Greater Boston Lions (GBL), Mass AAU, NE BALLAS, NE Cyclones and Shooting Stars. Over the past eight years, Callahan has also worked a number of camps and clinics including Hoop Mountain and Hoop Group academic and elite events and showcases.

Callahan is currently a Teaching Assistant in the Dover-Sherborn School system and is working towards his Master’s degree in Sports Management from Lasell College. Callahan completed his undergraduate work in Liberal Studies from Westfield State University in 2004 and currently resides in Franklin with his newborn son, Avani.
