McDonald & Miressi Named to 2012-13 All-MASCAC Second Team

Buzzards Bay, Mass. – Junior forward Daniel Miressi (Monroe, Conn.) and sophomore forward Ryan McDonald (Anchorage, Ak.) have been selected to the 2012-13 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey All-Conference Second Team in voting conducted by the league's seven coaches.   

Miressi earns his second all-conference nod as he was also a second team selection as a sophomore, while McDonald earns his first as the pair led the Rams in scoring this season and ranked third in the conference.  McDonald tallied a MASCAC-best 18 goals on the year to go along with 13 assists for 31 points, while Miressi ranked in the top ten in the league for both goals and assists as he collected 15 markers and 16 helpers en route to his 31 points.

The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation's oldest Division III men's and women's playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom.  MASCAC member schools include Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University.  Two other institutions, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Plymouth State University, are affiliate members of the conference in the sport of men's ice hockey and football, while Western Connecticut State University will join the conference as an affiliate member in football beginning in 2013-14.
