Davis Posts Shutout as Westfield State Blanks Men's Ice Hockey 2-0
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Noah Davis stopped all 28 shots he faced as the Westfield State men's hockey team shut out Framingham State 2-0 on Friday night at Loring Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Westfield State broke through late in the opening period when Cannon Bonifay scored his fifth goal of the season at 17:33, assisted by Jesper Seeberg, giving the Owls a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
- The Owls doubled their advantage with just 25.5 seconds remaining in the second period when Louis Ouellet converted on the power play with assists from Bonifay to make it 2-0.
- Davis and the Westfield State defense shut the door in the third period, preserving the shutout despite Framingham State pulling goaltender Isak Saldjoughi with 1:15 remaining in regulation.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Westfield State dominated the shot count 42-28, including a commanding 19-7 advantage in the first period.
- Davis earned his shutout with 28 saves over 60 minutes for the Owls.
- Saldjoughi made 40 saves in 58:45 of work for the Rams before being pulled for the extra attacker.
- Westfield State went 1-for-4 on the power play, while Framingham State was 0-for-2.
- Bonifay finished with a goal and an assist for the Owls. Both Bonifay's and Ouellet's goals were their fifth of the season.
- Framingham State was assessed four penalties for eight minutes, while Westfield State had two penalties for four minutes.
