Suffolk Bests Men’s Soccer in Battle of the Rams

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State men's soccer team was defeated in non-league play Tuesday afternoon by a score of 4-0 by Suffolk University.  

THE BASICS: 

- Score: Suffolk University 4, Framingham State 0 

-Records: Framingham State (0-2-2), Suffolk University (1-2-1) 

-Location: Maple Street Field – Framingham, Mass.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Suffolk got on the board in the 19thminute when Dominic Rinaldi found the back of the goal. The visitors extended their lead in the 32ndminute when Luke Blawn finished off a pass from Ford Lee to send the teams into the break with Suffolk up 2-0.  

  • In the 62ndminute Fransico Valck made it 3-0 before Carter Van Buskirk converted on a penalty kick to the reach the final margin.  

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Nathan Harlow made two saves in net for the visiting Rams while Tyler Holden made ten saves in goal for the Rams.  

  • Suffolk held the advantage in shots 28-to-7 and corner kicks 7-to-3. 

UP NEXT: 

Framingham State will host Hartford on Saturday morning at 11am while Suffolk will travel to Salem State on Saturday afternoon.
