Men's Soccer Blanked 4–0 by Trinity in Non-Conference Action

Framingham, Mass. – A pair of first-half goals put the Rams on their heels, and visiting Trinity College never looked back, handing the Framingham State men's soccer team a 4–0 defeat Wednesday night at Maple Street Field. 

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Trinity struck first in the 31st minute when Jack Murphy finished off an Ian Spiro feed for the 1–0 edge. 

  • The Bantams doubled the lead right before halftime as Dieder Wagner buried a pass from Dillon Reilly. 

  • Murphy made it 3–0 just after the break, collecting a loose ball and slotting home unassisted in the 49th. 

  • Kieran McCabe capped the scoring in the 74th minute with another unassisted tally. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Trinity out-shot the Rams 26–7 and owned a 17–3 advantage in corner kicks. 

  • Colin Holt kept Framingham within striking distance for long stretches, turning aside 11 saves on 15 shots on goal.
