Men's Soccer Battles to Scoreless Draw at Wentworth

BOSTON, Mass. – The Framingham State men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Wentworth in a hard-fought match on Tuesday evening at New Sweeney Field. The Rams now hold a 4-5-1 record for the season, while the Leopards move to 2-5-4. 

THE BASICS: 

  • Score: Framingham State 0, Wentworth 0 

  • Records: Framingham State (4-5-1), Wentworth (2-5-4) 

  • Location: New Sweeney Field, Boston, Mass. 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Both teams had their chances, but neither could find the back of the net. Framingham State's Kaio Santos Da Silva led the Rams with seven shots, two of which were on goal. 

  • The Rams' goalkeeper, Colin Holt, made five saves to keep the Leopards off the scoreboard. 

  • The match saw a total of seven yellow cards, with four issued to Framingham State players and three to Wentworth players.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Framingham State outshot Wentworth 13-14, with four shots on goal compared to Wentworth's five. 

  • Both teams were even in fouls, with 11 each. 

  • The Rams had two corner kicks, while the Leopards had six.
