Bio
Adam Gabbard enters his third season as Framingham State University’s Head Men’s Soccer Coach in 2026. He was hired prior to the 2024 season to lead the Rams following the departure of longtime coach Dean Nichols, who guided the program for 21 years before stepping down after the 2023 season.
In 2025, Framingham State posted a 5-10-3 overall record and went 2-6 in MASCAC play, improving on a one-win campaign the previous fall. The Rams opened the season with a 3-0 shutout of Lasell and added non-conference wins over UMass Dartmouth and Elms, while their conference victories came on the road at Fitchburg State and at home against Anna Maria.
In his first season at the helm in 2024, Gabbard guided the Rams to a 1-13-3 record (1-5-1 MASCAC) as he began rebuilding the program, with the lone win a 1-0 shutout at Worcester State.
Before arriving at Framingham State, Gabbard served as head men’s soccer coach at Bristol Community College (NJCAA) beginning in January 2022, overseeing all aspects of the program in accordance with Region XXI and NJCAA guidelines. Prior to Bristol, he spent several years as an assistant coach at Curry College and Dean College.
Gabbard is also the Regional Director for Nike Soccer Camps, where he oversees multiple day-camp programs across New England, including hiring, training, and supervising camp staff, managing camp budgets, and leading training and practice sessions.
Gabbard holds both an F License and an E License from the United States Soccer Federation, along with several coaching certifications from United Soccer Coaches. He earned a bachelor of science degree in communications from Curry College, where he was a member of the men’s soccer team and served as a team captain and on the captains’ leadership council.
