Men's Cross Country Slated to Finish Fourth in 2024 MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's cross country team has been selected to finish fourth in the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches. 

The Rams secured the fourth spot by receiving 11 total points after finishing fourth at the MASCAC championships in 2023. Returning for the Rams is graduate student Patrick Walsh. Walsh earned All-MASCAC honors in 2023 after finishing fourth at the MASCAC Championships. Also, returning for the Rams is Bruno Barbosa who placed 47th at the 2023 MASCAC Championships. 

Bridgewater State was selected to finish first receiving four first place votes and 24 points, while Westfield State slipped into second with 22 points and the remaining two first place votes.  Fitchburg State claimed the third spot with 16 points, while Worcester State (10 points) and Massachusetts Maritime (7 points) rounded out the poll in fifth and sixth. 

The Rams open the season on August 31st at the Keene State.
