Roode Selected MASCAC Softball Rookie of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Freshman utility player Shelby Roode (Ashaway, R.I.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 20th. 

Roode earns her first MASCAC Rookie of the week honor after hitting .333 (7-for-21) with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in a 4-4 week for the Rams. She went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double in the Rams 4-1 victory over St. Lawrence. Roode went 2-for-4 with a double in the Rams 4-3 triumph over Springfield College and she added two RBI in the Rams 6-3 win over Carroll University.
