Women's Basketball Slated to Finish Second in 2025-26 MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's basketball team has been slated to finish second in the 2025-26 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office this afternoon.  

The Rams claimed the second spot with 43 total points and one first place vote after compiling a 14-10 record a season ago, including a 6-4 record in league play. The Rams advanced to the MASCAC Tournament finals in 2025. Returning for the Rams is forward Faith Greene who earned MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2024-25. Greene averaged a double double of 13 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while also compiling 23 blocks, 27 steals and 11 assists. 

Bridgewater State took the top spot in the poll with 49 points and the remaining seven first place votes. Westfield State claimed third with 33 points, while Salem State took the fourth spot with 30 points.  Worcester State received 27 points which slated them fifth, while new conference member Anna Maria received 21 points to take sixth.  Fitchburg State (14 points) and MCLA (7 points) rounded out the poll in seventh and eighth. 

The Rams open the 2025-26 season on Saturday, November 8thwhen they travel to Salve Regina at 1 p.m.
