Women’s Basketball Outlasts Westfield State 80-75 in MASCAC Clash

Westfield, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's basketball team pulled out a hard fought 80-75 victory over Westfield State this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at the Woodward Center.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams received a team-high 30 points and 17 rebounds from Faith Greene. Greene shot 11-of-21 from the floor in the game and grabbed eight offensive rebounds to go along with three steals and a block. 

  • Jacqueline Schels chipped in with 17 minutes on 4-of-9 from the floor. Schels also racked up a double double as she grabbed 15 rebounds with five assists, two steals and a block. 

  • Kelsey Yelle and Zaria Anderson came off the bench to tally double digits in the victory. Yelle added the Rams third double double in the game with 12 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks, while Anderson finished with 10 points, three rebounds, three assists and two blocks. 

  • The Rams outrebounded the Owls 67-35 in the game including a 23-13 edge on the offensive glass which led to 22 second chance points for the Rams.
