Marlborough, MA – The Worcester State women's ice hockey team cruised to a decisive 9-0 victory over Framingham State University on Friday evening at the New England Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

1st Period: 

  • 02:56: Worcester State – Madelyn Franta opened the scoring, assisted by Katarina Precobb. 

  • 08:13: Worcester State – Kaia Carlson scored with assists from Franta and Amy MacGlashing. 

  • 11:20: Worcester State – Emily Johns scored, assisted by Cailey Ryan. 

  • 19:28.7: Worcester State – Carlson netted her second goal with help from MacGlashing and Franta. 

2nd Period: 

  • 10:27: Worcester State – Abbey Millman scored, assisted by Kelly Lovett. 

  • 14:16: Worcester State – Lea Gaspar added another goal, assisted by Franta. 

  • 19:17.7: Worcester State – Franta scored her second goal of the game, assisted by Carlson and Precobb. 

3rd Period: 

  • 16:19: Worcester State – Millman scored unassisted. 

  • 19:18.3: Worcester State – Franta completed her hat trick with an assist from Sydney Vautour.

Worcester State: 

  • Madelyn Franta: Star of the game with a hat trick and three assists. 

  • Kaia Carlson: Two goals and one assist. 

  • Goalies: Maverick Margraf and Kelsey Czerniawski combined for a 20-save shutout. 

Framingham State: 

 
  • The defensive effort struggled under relentless pressure, and offensive chances were limited.
