Women’s Ice Hockey Set to Compete in Year Two of MASCAC Play

Westfield, Mass. – With the 2025-26 MASCAC Women's Ice Hockey season set to begin on October 31, the league's preseason coaches poll has been released, placing Framingham State fifth among the six competing programs. 

The Rams will look to make strides this season behind returning forward Petra Cernicek, who led the team in scoring last year with nine points, including eight goals and one assist. 

The preseason poll sees Rivier and Worcester State tied for first, each earning 22 points and splitting the six first-place votes. Anna Maria follows in third, with Salem State, a new addition to the league, in fourth. Framingham State is fifth, ahead of MCLA, which rounds out the poll in sixth. 

The Rams open their season with non-conference play on Friday, October 31st when they travel to Nichols for a 4:40pm puck drop.
