Women’s Ice Hockey Downed by Nichols

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State Rams were defeated by the Nichols College Bison by a score of 8-1 Saturday evening in non-conference action.  

THE BASICS: 

  • Score: Nichols 8, Framingham State 1 

  • Records: Nichols (2-0-0), Framingham State (0-2-0) 

  • Location: Framingham, Massachusetts 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Nichols took an early lead with two quick goals in the first period by Riley Devlin and Kaylyn Bourque. 

  • Nichols dominated the second period, scoring four goals, including two more from Riley Devlin and two from Kasey Litwin. 

  • The Bison continued their offensive onslaught in the third period with two additional goals from Kaylyn Bourque, securing their victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Nichols outshot Framingham State 42-20. 

  • Framingham State's Jamie Webster scored the lone goal for the Rams. 

  • Nichols' Riley Devlin and Kaylyn Bourque each recorded hat tricks. 

  • Nichols capitalized on one of their five power-play opportunities, while Framingham State was unable to convert any of their three.

  • The Rams return to the ice next Saturday when they host Worcester State at Loring Arena at 8pm.
