Worcester State Shuts Out Women's Ice Hockey 5-0
WORCESTER, MASS. – The Worcester State women's hockey team handed Framingham State a 5-0 defeat on Thursday evening at Worcester Ice Center, improving to 11-8-0 overall and 9-1-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Worcester State opened the scoring late in the first period when Lindsay Wagner netted her first goal of the season at 15:27, assisted by Leyla Tiernan.
- The Lancers extended their lead early in the second period as Fiona Hatton scored an unassisted goal at 2:26.
- Worcester State added another goal at 19:49 of the second period when Leyla Tiernan found the net with an assist from Olivia Fehl.
- In the third period, Emily Johns made it 4-0 at 8:39, with Fiona Hatton picking up the assist.
- Leyla Tiernan capped the scoring with her second goal of the game at 19:48 of the third period.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Worcester State dominated the shot count 59-14, outshooting Framingham State in all three periods (19-7, 24-5, 16-2).
- Despite the lopsided score, Framingham State goaltender Lila Chamoun made an impressive 54 saves in the loss.
- Worcester State's Kelsey Czerniawski earned the shutout with 14 saves.
