Lasell Hands Women's Lacrosse First Loss of Season
Newton, Mass. – The Framingham State College women’s lacrosse team was handed their first loss of the season today as they were defeated 19-12 by Lasell College in a non-conference game at Lasell. The Rams are now 2-1 on the season, while the Lasers improve to 7-4.
Senior attack Ashley Noonan (Mansfield, Mass.) led the Rams with a team-high six goals. Junior Stephanie Corrales (Framingham, Mass.) chipped in two goals and an assist, while sophomore Kerry Kiley (Mansfield, Mass.) and freshman Chelsea Temple (Rutland, VT) each picked up two goals.
The Lasers were led by Tina Canavan, who scored a game-high seven goals, and Ashley Slattery who added four. Kristin Coderre picked up the win in net for the Lasers as she made 14 saves, while freshman Kelsey Turner (Billerica, Mass.) picked up her first loss in net as she made 11 saves.
