Banas Resigns as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University head women's lacrosse coach Laura Banas has resigned her position effective immediately.  Banas has spent the past five seasons at the helm of the FSU women's lacrosse program as she guided the Rams through the transition from club team to varsity program. 

In her five seasons Banas has compiled a 22-34 record including a program best 7-7 mark in 2009 as an independent.  The Rams joined the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) in 2010 and under Banas' guidance this season were awarded the 2011 NEWLA Team Sportsmanship Award.  The search for Banas' replacement is currently under way.
