Reilly Named MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week
Buzzards Bay, Mass. – Sophomore attack Zoe Reilly (Boyertown, Pa.) has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week for the week ending April 7th. Reilly shares the Player of the Week honor with Bridgewater State freshman midfielder Lauren Geary.
Reilly netted eight goals in a 1-1 week for the Rams including six in the Rams 11-6 victory over Salem State which was the squad's first MASCAC victory of the season. On the year, Reilly, who has only seen action in four games, is second on the team in scoring with 12 goals and five assists for 17 points.
The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, the nation's oldest Division III men's and women's playing conference, has a rich and storied tradition of competitive success while celebrating excellence in the classroom. MASCAC member schools include Bridgewater State University, Fitchburg State University, Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State University, Westfield State University and Worcester State University. Two other institutions, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Plymouth State University, are affiliate members of the conference in the sport of men's ice hockey and football, while Western Connecticut State University will join the conference as an affiliate member in football beginning in 2013-14.
