Women’s Lacrosse Downed at #13 Amherst

Amherst, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team was defeated 21-3 by thirteenth ranked Amherst College this evening in non-conference action at Gooding Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams received a pair of goals from freshman Madeline Bosma who added a ground ball. 

  • Maggie Grout chipped in with a goal and an assist in the game to go along with three ground balls, while Hailey Baker added an assist and a pair of ground balls. 

  • Amherst got on the board first just over a minute into the game, but Bosma converted a free position shot less than a minute later tying the game. Amherst closed the first quarter scoring the final six goals of the frame and kept the Rams off the board in the second as they built a 12-1 lead at the half.

The Rams are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Mass. Maritime at 7 p.m.
