Baker and Grout Earn Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year Honors as Women's Lacrosse Places Five on All-MASCAC Teams

Framingham, Mass. – Senior attack Hailed Baker (Peabody, Mass.) has been selected the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year and senior midfielder Maggie Grout (West Springfield, Mass.) has been named the 2025 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year as the Rams saw five players earn All-MASCAC Honors. 

Baker and Grout earned All-MASCAC First Team honors along with senior midfielder Molly Lanier (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and senior defender Kaleigh Houlihan (Franklin, Mass.). Senior attacker Leah Green (Chelmsford, Mass.) is the Rams lone honoree on the second team. 

Baker helped the Rams to a 4-2 league record during the MASCAC campaign. She finished with 82 points on 28 goals and 54 assists, which led the conference this season.  Baker collected 31 ground balls, 20 draw controls and 13 caused turnovers this season. She was 10-for-13 on free position attempts while compiling an 87.3 shots on goal percentage. Twice this season she finished with 10 points in a game, including the win over Salem State where she had three goals and seven assists and the win over Fitchburg State where she had two goals and a school record-tying eight assists. 

Grout earns Defensive Player of the Year honors from the midfield position after helping the Rams defense hold opponents to a 40.7 shooting percentage. Grout was critical for the Rams in midfield in the transitioning from defense to offense. Grout collected 32 ground balls while causing 21 turnovers. She also tallied 17 goals and 14 assists with 26 draw controls. In the win over Colby-Sawyer, Grout had four ground balls and five caused turnovers while adding two draws in the win. 

The 2025 Rams finished the season 10-9 overall and 4-2 in league action. The Rams earned the third seed in the MASCAC Tournament advancing to the finals where they were defeated by tournament champion Worcester State.
