Women's Lacrosse Chosen to Finish Second in 2026 MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team has been slated to finish second in the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office this afternoon.  

The Rams claimed the second spot with 40 total points and two first place votes after compiling a 10-9 record a season ago, including a 4-2 record in league play. The Rams advanced to the MASCAC Tournament finals in 2025. Returning for the Rams in net is Isabella DiMare. DiMare ranked third in the MASCAC in 2025 with 10 wins and fourth in saves (139) and fifth in save percentage (44.4). On the offensive side of the ball, Alessia Lye returns after tallying 38 points on 10 goals and 28 assists a season ago, while Madeline Bosma returns after scoring 25 goals during her rookie season. 

Worcester State took the top spot in the poll with 48 points and the remaining six first place votes. Westfield State claimed third with 39 points, while Bridgewater State took the fourth spot with 33 points.  Fitchburg State, Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Salem State all tied for the fifth spot as each received 19 points, while Anna Maria rounds out the poll in eighth with seven points.  

The Rams open the 2026 season on Wednesday, February 25th at Coast Guard.
