Women’s Lacrosse Falls 8-4 to Keene State in Home Opener

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team was defeated 8-4 by Keene State this evening in non-conference action at Maple Street Field.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams grabbed a 2-0 lead after the first quarter with Kate McGovern and Jenna James finding the back of the net. 

  • Keene State got on the board in the closing minutes of the opening frame and tallied three goals in the second while holding the Rams off the board as they led 4-2 at the half. 

  • Keene tallied three goals in the third, extending the lead to 7-2. 

  • Madeline Bosma tallied an unassisted goal for the Rams to start the fourth. Keene added a tally midway through the frame, before Sarah Lewis capped the scoring for the Rams when she converted a free position shot with just under seven to go.

The Rams are back in action Saturday when they travel to Westfield State at 6 p.m.
