Women’s Soccer Tripped Up at MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's soccer team opened MASCAC play with a 4-1 loss to MCLA Saturday afternoon at Shewcraft Field. 

THE BASICS: 

  • Score: MCLA 4, Framingham State 1 

  • Records: Framingham State (0-2-1, 0-1-0 MASCAC), MCLA (1-1-0, 1-0-0 MASCAC) 

  • Location: Shewcraft Field – North Adams, Mass. 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • MCLA responded with three goals before halftime, including two from Catelyn Hodge and one from Kylie DeMaio. 

  • DeMaio added her second goal in the 72nd minute to close out the scoring. 

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams held a 32-9 advantage in total shots and a 13-8 edge in shots on goal. 

  • Framingham State earned seven corner kicks, while MCLA had none. 

  • MCLA's goalkeepers combined for 12 saves.
