Worcester, Mass. – The Framingham State women's soccer team faced a tough battle against Worcester State, ultimately falling 1-0 in a closely contested MASCAC match.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The game remained scoreless through the first half, with both teams displaying strong defensive efforts. 

  • Worcester State broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute when Ava Lemanski found the back of the net. 

  • Despite several attempts to equalize, Framingham State was unable to convert their chances. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Framingham State recorded 10 shots, with 9 on goal, while Worcester State had 22 shots, 9 of which were on target. 

  • Amelia Finley made 8 saves for Framingham State, keeping the team in the game with several key stops. 

  • Worcester State's Ella Gumienny earned the shutout victory with 9 saves.
