Women's Soccer Blanked at Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Framingham State women's soccer team faced off on the road against Springfield College on Wednesday evening. The Rams were unable to overcome an early deficit, ultimately falling 2-0 to the Pride.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Springfield took an early lead with a goal from Katie McFerran at the 16:42 mark, assisted by Kaitlyn Suller. 

  • Kaitlyn Suller doubled Springfield's lead with a goal at 25:17, assisted by Katie McFerran. 

  • Despite a strong defensive effort in the second half, Framingham State was unable to find the back of the net. 

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Framingham State managed 8 shots, with 5 on goal. 

  • Springfield recorded 17 shots, with 7 on goal. 

  • Mallory Forgatch made 5 saves for Springfield, securing the shutout. 

  • Springfield had a significant advantage in corner kicks, 11-1.
