Buckner, Finley Earn MASCAC Weekly Honors for Framingham State Women’s Soccer

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State freshmen Leiyani Buckner (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Amelia Finley (Plymouth, Mass.) have been recognized by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) for their standout performances during the week ending September 1st. 

Buckner has been named the MASCAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal in the Rams' 2-1 victory over Fitchburg State. 

Finley earned MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after making five saves in each of her appearances, including the win over Fitchburg State. She finished the week with a .769 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average (GAA).
