Women's Outdoor Track Competes at 2021 Jim Sheehan Invitational

Bridgewater, Mass.  – The Framingham State outdoor women's outdoor track and field team was back in action this afternoon at the Jim Sheehan Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State University.

THE BASICS:

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Sophomore Emily Newcomb had a solid day on the track for the Rams placing fourth in the 800M run with a time of 2:41 and also placed 13^th in the 1,500M run with a time of 6:03.
• Katie Hayes also had a strong day with a pair of solid performances.  Hayes placed fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:42, just a second behind Newcomb.  Hayes also placed eighth in the 1,500 crossing the line at 5:35.
• Elizabeth Dykstra and Brooke Fenton placed fifth and seventh respectively in the 400M dash with times of 1:06 and 1:18.  Dykstra also placed 10^th in the 200M dash with a time of 29.19.
• Leah Chace placed third for the Rams in the 5,000M run with a time of 23:10, while Patrice Haney placed 10^th in the 100M dash with a time of 13.85.

The Rams are back on the tract next Saturday when they travel to Westfield State.
