Women's Track and Field Places Sixth at Jim Sheehan Memorial
Fitchburg, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's track and field team received first place finishes from Emily Newcomb and Casey McAuliffe as the Rams placed fifth this morning at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invite hosted by Fitchburg State University.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Newcomb placed first for the Rams in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 12:48.64, while McAuliffe took the top spot in the 10,000m run with her time of 43:23.89.

Kammarie Pelland placed fourth for the Rams in the steeplechase with her tim of 44:28.61, while Olivia Poole and Amanda Bedard placed third and fourth in the 10,000 at 44:28.61 and 45:59.69.

Alyssa Caputo placed fourth for the Rams in the discus with her distance of 33.39M and 12th in the shot put with a throw of 9.01M.

Kaylee Beck placed sixth in the shot put with her throw of 10.62M and 16th in the discus at 25.18M.

Elizabeth Dykstra was the Rams top finisher in the long jump at 4.02M, while Meghan Johnston was the Rams top finisher in the 1500M run with a time of 5:30.08.
