Women's Outdoor Track & Field Tabbed to Finish Fourth in 2025 MASCAC Preseason Poll
Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's outdoor track and field team has been slated to finish fourth in the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Track and Field Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches.
The Rams were slated to finish fourth in the poll collecting 14 total points. Returning for the Rams this season is all around standout in sophomore Jamie Moniz. Moniz was the 2024 MASCAC Champion in the 400M hurdles as she claimed the top spot at the 2024 championships with a time of 1:10.35. Moniz also finished third in the javelin, fourth in the triple jump and seventh in the high jump. Also returning for the Rams are runner Natalie Grimaldo who finished second behind Moniz in the 400M hurdles and thrower Alyssa Caputo who finished fourth in the javelin, third in the shot put, fifth in the hammer throw and fourth in the discus at the 2024 MASCAC Championships.
Westfield State claimed the top spot in the poll with 24 points and four of the six first place votes. Grabbing the second spot was Bridgewater State with 22 total points and the remaining two first place votes. Worcester State slipped into the third spot just two points ahead of the Rams with 16 total points. Rounding out the poll in fifth place is Fitchburg State (9 points) and in sixth place is Mass. Maritime (5 points).
The Rams open the season on March 29th at UMass Dartmouth.
