Women's Track and Field Places Fourth at Edmondson Classic

Mansfield, Conn. - Tee Framingham State University women's outdoor track and field team placed fourth this afternoon at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic hosted by Eastern Connecticut.  

THE BASICS:

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams placed fourth as a team as they amassed 60 total points on the day. 

  • Kaylee Beck placed seventh for the Rams in the shot put (10.6M) and fourth in the hammer throw (41.12M). 

  • Alyssa Caputo finished the day third in the discus (33.07M) and ninth in the shot put (10.39M). Ashley Caputo added a ninth place finish in the discus (28.91M), while Grace Avery finished ninth in the javelin (25.92M). 

  • Jamie Moniz had a strong day on the track and in the field with a fifth place finish in both the triple jump (9.69M) and high jump (1.41M). Moniz also finished second in the 400M hurdles with a time of 1:12.58. 

  • The Rams saw three athletes finish in the top eight in the 3000M run led by Meghan Johnston in third (11:10.64). Kate Buban crossed fifth at 11:16.27 and Avery finished eighth at 11:45.44.

The Rams are back in action Friday at the MASCAC Championships hosted by Bridgewater State.
