Women's Outdoor Track and Field Slated to Finish Fourth in 2026 MASCAC Preseason Poll

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's outdoor track and field team has been selected to finish fourth in the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office this afternoon.  

The Rams claimed the fourth spot with 13 total points after the Rams finished fourth at the 2025 MASCAC Championships. Returning for the Rams is junior distance runner Kate Buban. Buban won the 10,000m run at the 2025 MASCAC Championship with a time of 41:03. Buban qualified for All-New England's in both the 10,000m run and the 5,000m run. Also, returning for the Rams is Natalie Grimaldo who finished seventh in the 400m hurdles at the All-New England meet in 2025. 

Westfield State took the top spot in the poll with 25 points and five first place votes, while Bridgewater State claimed second with 20 points and the remaining first place vote. Worcester State narrowly edged the Rams for third with 15 points, while Fitchburg State and Massachusetts Maritime round out the poll in fifth and sixth with 12 and five points. 

The Rams open the 2026 season on FridayMarch 27th at Gordon College
