Buban Earns MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Honor

FRAMINGHAM, MASS. – Framingham State junior Kate Buban has been named the MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. It marks the first time in program history a Framingham State women's outdoor track & field athlete has earned the award.

Buban entered the 10,000m run at the Jim Sheehan Invitational, crossing the finish line in a personal best time of 39:03.91, claiming first place in the event.

Her time, which was almost four minutes faster than second place, moved her to 60th in DIII and fourth in the East, which also qualifies her for DIII New Englands.
